Anonymous Marking
From 2023/24, the University is extending Anonymous Marking for most assessments to be submitted via Turnitin. The Anonymous Marking policy also extends to assessment submissions in physical form such as exams and other physical artifacts where appropriate.
Appendix 1 of the Anonymous Marking policy outlines those assessment types that should be included in anonymous marking as standard, and which are either not suitable due to the assessment type or the submission mode.
The University is committed to anonymous marking wherever it is possible and appropriate, however course teams have the option to seek an exemption through their Faculty Quality Committee if they deem this to be appropriate.
To date 12 courses have contributed to the anonymous marking pilot between 2021 and 2023, they are:
- BA (Hons) Archaeology (levels 0-4-5-6)
- (MMus) Master of Music
- BA (Hons) Primary Education (level 4 full-time)
- BSc (Hons) Public Health and Health Promotion (level 4 and level 5)
- BSc (Hons) Mental Health, and Wellbeing and Society (level 4)
- BSc (Hons) Child Nursing (level 4)
- MSc Forensic and Investigative Psychology (level 7)
- MSc Foundation in Clinical Psychology (level 7)
- BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science (Foundation Year)
- BSc (Hons) Sport Coaching Science (Foundation Year)
- BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation (Foundation Year)
- BSc (Hons) Physical Education and Sport & Exercise Science (Foundation Year)
- BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing (Care of the Deteriorating Patient module level 5)
