If you're travelling to campus by car, there are a range of off-site locations suitable for parking around the university.

To be more sustainable and save money why not consider a car share

Canterbury

Park and Ride

Canterbury City Council operates a Park and Ride Scheme at the Wincheap, New Dover Road and Sturry Road Park & Ride car parks. Tickets are £4.00 per day per car and up to 6 passengers.

Public Car Parking

There are council public parking close to campus. You can find information on this, including details for Blue Badge holders, on the Canterbury City Council website

You can also register online for the ANPR car parks, so you don't have to go to the pay machines. Instead, your registration is recognised when you enter and leave the car park and payment is made automatically.

If you are studying or visiting Augustine House there is also a public car park near Canterbury East rail station.

If you're a resident of Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable or the rural villages and you have a parking permit account, you can sign up for a residents rate permit in certain car parks.

You pay 10% less in all ANPR car parks in bands 2 and 3 and 20% less at all Park and Ride sites.

Polo Farm Minibus Service

A free 5 minute shuttle service for students and staff is available at Polo Farm Sports Club Canterbury (CT3 4AF). A small shuttle bus is in operation to take students and staff between Old Sessions House and Polo Farm to 6pm (student/staff ID required). Spaces are limited and on a first come, first served basis. You can also use the local Stagecoach public bus service to get to Polo Farm.

Medway

If you are travelling to Medway campus by car, then you can park in the Historic Dockyard Trust car park.

Tunbridge Wells

There is no campus parking for the Salomons Institute in Tunbridge Wells. However, a range of car parks are available in the town, including a multi-storey car park (Meadow Road) opposite the site. It is also less than a 10-minute walk to the Tunbridge Wells Rail Station.

We recommend you use official car parks or the park and ride. If you do park in local streets please be considerate of our neighbours, ensure you are parked legally and do not cause an obstruction.
