In this hands-on, interactive workshop, you will learn how to tell if research is trustworthy, by conducting a small piece of research.

In this interactive workshop, students will first work with the SCE team and student ambassadors to build their oracy skills and confidence through an ethical debate, dynamic dialogue, or Change Maker oracy session. They will then take part in a two-hour session with an academic and/or Postgraduate ambassadors to understand the role of research in creating a convincing argument. Students will develop their understanding of how to identify trustworthy research and undertake and present their own research. The group decides who should be trusted and who may have built their argument from less trustworthy foundations.
