The Learning Skills Hub
The Learning Skills Hub has been developed by Learning Developers and Learning & Research Librarians with your needs in mind.
Each module offers you the opportunity to develop your skills, assess your understanding and apply your new knowledge for continued development.
Postgraduate modules include:
Researcher Development Programme (RDP)
There is a rich interdisciplinary research community where students can acquire a broad awareness of research issues with peers in other areas of work from within their faculty and the broader university.
Throughout your studies you are expected to engage with opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and competencies to equip you to develop as an independent researcher.
The Graduate College provide an annual development programme covering the following areas:
- Subject Specific Training
- Research Methods Training
- Professional Development Skills

In addition to the Researcher Development Programme, research students are eligible to participate in Staff Development training, including IT training and presentation skills.
Library Support
The Library team can support you in your Postgraduate Studies access to key resources and offering professional advice in literature searching and information management.
Postgraduate Research Association
The Postgraduate Research Association is where our research students can connect with each other, share learning and exchange views. The Association arranges a series of seminars and an annual conference to support interdisciplinary learning and knowledge sharing.
