Time management

Assess your learning

Reflect on your learning

You should now have a completed list of priorities and drafted a plan to manage your time. Take a moment to reflect on your learning so far and consider some of our additional tips:

• Make use of ‘dead time’ – think of ways you could study in small units of time so you don’t waste time (you can learn a lot in 15 minutes). For example, use mind-maps or index cards.

• Make best use of daylight hours – most people work better during the day than at night – even if you have to get up earlier.

• Try to study after lectures – memory is improved if you review lecture notes soon afterwards, rather than leaving them until later.
