Profile summary
I joined Canterbury Christ Church University in 1999 as a Chartered Librarian having gained a BSc in Geography and an MSc in Information and Library Studies. I worked in the Library for just over 12 years before becoming a Learning Technologist (now Digital Academic Developer) in 2012 supporting staff in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.
I work as part of the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Team supporting the use of learning technologies to enhance learning, teaching and assessment within the institution. During my time as a Learning Technologist, I have supported the growth of e-feedback and the introduction of the PebblePad e-portfolio tool within the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.
My current academic interests include e-portfolios for supporting health professionals, the ‘flipped classroom’ approach to learning and teaching, the use of technology to support an inclusive curriculum, and the development of digital capabilities.
I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching (HE) (now Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice), I am Ordinary Member with the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
