I work as a Senior Academic Developer as a part of Learning and Teaching Enhancement at CCCU. My aim is to enable excellent teaching and student learning by helping staff design and deliver inclusive, diverse and exciting learning experiences for CCCU students. 

I have previously worked as a Student Learning Developer for the Faculty of Medicine Health and Social Care at CCCU's Medway campus, and as an Associate Lecturer in English Literature and American Studies.  

I studied for my PhD in English Literature from the University of Sussex, where I researched the politics of Native Hawaiian resistance poetry. I gained my MA from the University of Kent and my BA(hons) from the University of Reading.  

I started my teaching career as a CELTA qualified English language teacher and have travelled widely. 

I am a Fellow of AdvanceHE.
