As a former student you are entitled to a range of discounted rates on University services.
Alumni membership offers a range of benefits including access to our libraries, guest wi-fi and study spaces. You can also borrow books, media resources and other items from the library. Due to licensing, we cannot offer a university login or access to online library resources beyond a smaller selection accessible via our visitor PC.
As of 1 August 2024 alumni membership to the library is free, you will need to renew your membership annually but there are no renewal charges involved. If you find the alumni membership helpful, we’d rather you consider a small donation to our Futures Fund rather than pay a fee to the library.
You also have open access to the Learning Skills Hub, which has a specific outduction/ alumni section, with modules such as finding information when you have left university.
You can also continue to access your Refworks account. You just need to make changes to your account before you leave the University to switch this to an alumni account.
Find further information about memberships and visitors, including how to apply on the library webpages, on our website.
You can also become a member of the Christ Church Sports Centre in Canterbury. Take advantage of the newly refurbished gym, with state-of-the-art equipment, air conditioning, and mirrored panelled walls.
Additionally, the centre offers a wide variety of fitness classes, massage therapy, and personal training.
