Our theatre and performance facilities give you the space, technology, and inspiration to bring your creative vision to life. Whether you're rehearsing, performing, or working behind the scenes, you'll have access to industry-standard spaces designed to support your artistic journey.
At the heart of the Canterbury Campus, the Anselm building provides two flexible studio spaces.
Our black box Anselm Studio 1 theatre is a modern studio equipped with theatre standard drapes, a lighting rig, and sound system. It contains a state-of-the-art professional standard technical booth for controlling lighting and sound, providing our Technicians with a superb view of studio.
Anselm Studio 2 is a flexible space, equipped with sprung floor, mirrors, sound system and full soundproofing.
When the spaces are not being used for teaching, they can be made available for students to book out for rehearsals and assessment preparation.
Our tech gallery has been designed for hands-on learning, giving you direct access to industry-standard lighting, sound, and AV control systems. Whether you're programming a dynamic lighting design, balancing live audio, or managing multimedia elements, our tech gallery provides the perfect environment to develop your technical expertise. With support from experienced staff and the opportunity to work on live performances, you'll gain the practical skills needed to thrive in the world of theatre production and live events.
Located next to our campus, St Gregory’s is a dynamic performance and rehearsal space for our students. With seating for 150, it offers an intimate setting designed to enhance both the audience and performer experience.
This inspiring venue hosts a range of student-led productions, rehearsals, and live performances, providing an authentic environment to develop your craft. While continuing to welcome visiting artists, St Gregory’s is now an integral part of our creative community, offering opportunities for collaboration, experimentation, and public performance.
