The Tina Eniye Murphy Scholarship has been established to support a student studying for an undergraduate degree in Public Health at CCCU.

What do you get?

£5,000 a year for three years, to support a full time undergraduate Public Health degree, alongside the opportunity to be supported by a Futures Coach to develop your confidence during your time at CCCU.

Who is this for?

You can apply for the scholarship if you have applied or hold a current offer for a full-time 3 years undergraduate Public Health degree at CCCU. You must:

  • be a Home fee paying student
  • have achieved the relevant tariff points for your chosen course
  • be open to providing case studies for marketing purposes and attend the Futures Annual Supporter Event each year during your studies, and other events as required.

How do you apply?

Applications deadline: 23rd April 2025

You will be required to fill out the Tina Eniye Murphy Scholarship application form. This includes a 500 word personal statement.

When will you be paid?

Scholarship payments will be made in three instalments throughout the academic year: 25% in November, 25% in February, and 50% in May.

Payments will be subject to Terms & Conditions, which require the student to achieve 75% attendance and successfully progress to the next year of studies.

What do you need to know?

The award has been set up in memory of alumna Tina Eniye Murphy who achieved her lifelong ambition of graduating with a BSC (Hons) in Public Health and Health Promotion in 2022, shortly before passing away in 2023. Her daughter Mrs James and her husband are hoping that this important scholarship will offer a student at CCCU the opportunity to pursue a career in Public Health.
