Scholarship focus

Broadly, we are looking for a candidate who will join our research unit with a proposal that sits in our ‘material and spatial pasts’ theme. We particularly welcome proposals connected to two of our current areas of research and impact work: “Sacred Bodies, Sacred Spaces” or “Sustaining Heritage” (Green Heritage) related to any time period.

However, this scholarship application is open to all high-quality PhD applications in History, Heritage, and Archaeology. So long as our supervisory capacities align with your proposed project, we welcome your application. We endeavour to be inclusive and flexible regarding applicants with caring obligations, disabilities and other considerations.

For an informal discussion of your research proposal, please contact Dr Dave Hitchcock.
