If you’re an undergraduate or PGCE student and your income is under £25,000 a year, then you are eligible for the CCCU Grant to help with your finances.

You will receive £600.

Who is this for?

The 2025/26 CCCU Grant is available to undergraduate and PGCE students who meet the follow criteria:

  • Your household income is of £25,000 per year or less.
  • You have provided your consent for the Student Loans Company (SLC) to share this information with the University.
  • You normally reside in England.
  • Your fees for each year of study are more than £6,355 (full-time) or £4,765 (part-time).
  • You meet any additional eligibility criteria for our scholarships or bursaries, including being on an appropriate course.
  • You do not already receive government educational support of £5,000 or more per year, including the NHS Learning Support Fund, and Department for Education bursaries and scholarships (but excluding Student Loans Company maintenance grants or loans).

How do you apply?

This award will be administered automatically if you meet the eligibility criteria.

Please make sure you consent to sharing your household information on your Student Finance England application. We will then be able to check if you are eligible.

When will you be paid?

You will be paid in three instalments, which will be paid around November, February, and May.

What do you need to know?

If you meet the above criteria and are paying the standard 2025/26 full-time undergraduate tuition fees of £9,535, you will receive the full grant of £600.

This grant will be calculated on a pro rata basis if you are a full-time undergraduate student, and your fees are more than £6,355 but less than £9,535.

This grant will be calculated on a pro rata basis if you are a part-time undergraduate student and your fees are more than £4,765 but less than £9,535.

If you live in our University-owned accommodation, 50% of your grant will be automatically allocated towards the cost of your accommodation.

If you are studying with CCCU through a partner institution, you may not be eligible for this grant but may be able to access alternative forms of financial support. Please contact the student support team at your place of study who will be able to advise you.
