Screen production can be incredibly harmful to the environment, which is why albert was set up. Founded in 2011 to bring the TV and film industries together to tackle their climate impact, and to encourage audiences to do the same, Canterbury Christ Church University as an official Education Partner.
The albert certificate is now media industry standard for all film and TV productions. The logo can be found at the end of the credits of almost any BBC, ITV, Channel 4 or Sky programmes being shown today and acts as a demonstration that the production has been undertaken with a reduced environmental impact in mind.
As part of our Film, Radio and Television course, our students can gain albert certification. It is embedded into the Film, Radio and Television and Film Production programmes with year 3 students studying the Professional Perspectives in the Creative Industries employability module now gaining the albert certificate, "Applied Skills for a Sustainable Media Industry", as part of their degree.
