An interactive mock moot hosted by members of the Law team.

In this interactive workshop, students will first work with the SCE team and student ambassadors to build their oracy skills and confidence through a one-hour ethical debate, dynamic dialogue, or Change Maker oracy session. They will then take part in a two-hour moot (mock appeal) session with an academic and/or Postgraduate ambassadors (where possible using CCCU’s courtroom). Working in small groups students will argue a fictional appeal case in front of a “judge”. The success of each team will be based on how well they present their arguments. Through the process students will get opportunity to develop their understanding of the justice system and develop their argumentation and public speaking skills.

The complexity of the content of this workshop is adapted to ensure age/stage appropriate delivery.
