This session will focus on how colonialism and race shape our understanding of contemporary national and global politics.

In this two-hour masterclass with an academic and/or postgraduate ambassadors, students will deepen their knowledge of how colonialism and race shape our understanding of contemporary national and global politics. The masterclass addresses not only the historic context of colonialism, but also the contemporary legacy and continued impact today. Students will critically examine the socially constructed hierarchy between races to develop their understanding of the continued impact of systemic or institutional racism on national and international politics.
