Results from this year’s National Student Survey (NSS) shows the University has achieved an overall positivity score of *81%, as well as improving across all seven areas of question themes for all directly taught courses.

The annual National Student Survey (NSS) is commissioned by the Office for Students (OfS) and invites final year undergraduates to provide feedback on their experience at university.

This year the University achieved its highest response rate from students at 78%, resulting in positive improvements across the main seven question areas, and was especially strong in the areas of Learning Resources and Assessment and Feedback. Highlighting a range of positive performances in Learning Opportunities, Academic Support, and Student Voice.

Business Studies, Music, Politics and Archaeology significantly outperformed the sector average with overall positivity scores of 90% or higher. Health Studies also achieved an overall positivity score of 90%.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost of Canterbury Christ Church University, Professor Alison Honour, commented:

“The National Student Survey results show a fantastic number of positive performances across our courses. We are very proud to have achieved an overall positivity score of 81% and to improve across all seven question themes for our directly taught courses.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our colleagues for their continuing hard work and commitment to our students, especially with supporting our ‘Find Your Voice’ campaign to encourage student participation. And to our students for taking the time to answer the survey as this has resulted in us achieving our highest NSS response rate of 78%. These surveys are important to help us to better understand the needs of our students and to continue to deliver an exceptional experience whilst studying with us”.
