Little ways to manage stress

April is Stress Awareness Month, and this year the theme is #LittleByLittle, focusing on the small steps we can all take to unwind and stay on top of stress.

We know it can be tough to manage everything at uni, but those little self-care actions all add up to keep you well and stay calm, no matter what uni life throws at you!

To help you relax and take much-needed breaks whilst you’re studying in Augustine House, you can access the StressLess Zone on the second floor. Here you can discover a range of games, puzzles, and crafts to help you unwind.

The Library Team also have a range of StressLess activities planned throughout the period to help you take a break. The next StressLess event is on Thursday 23 May, 1-5pm, in the StressLess Zone where you can try a range of free art and craft activities, play board games, use a zen garden and more.

Don’t forget you can attend our regular wellbeing events to connect with others over a free hot drink or activity. From Chooseday Chill, Tea at Three, and the Wellbeing Café, to the World Café and Chat 'n' Chill at Medway – explore the full programme for details.

Or you can get a few friends together to sweat out the stress with a ball game at our new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA). Choose from football, netball, basketball, futsal and more!

If nature is your place to unwind, why not take a screen break in one of our peaceful green gardens on campus, join the Sustainability Team for a Nature Walk, or enjoy some mindful gardening at Potter and Prune.
