Government and publicly funded research organizations share data through their websites. This may be already synthesized and interpreted data (statistics) or raw data.

Here are some open data websites that you may find useful:

British Library Data Service https://data.bl.uk/
Google Dataset Search  https://datasetsearch.research.google.com/
Google Trends  https://trends.google.com/trends/explore
NHS Health and Social Care Information Centre  http://www.hscic.gov.uk/home
Open Data (UK government) https://www.data.gov.uk/
UNICEF https://data.unicef.org/resources/resource-type/datasets/
UK Data Service  https://ukdataservice.ac.uk/

The data is often downloadable into a CSV file which can be converted into an Excel file.
