What to expect at this year’s challenge?

The VC’s Challenge is a fantastic opportunity for staff to gather and enjoy some friendly competition as they take part in a range of sporting activities. Teams will compete for the VC's Challenge Trophy, enjoy refreshments and have the chance to network and make connections in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Games will include Pickleball, Kin-ball and many more!

Some teams like to create their own Team T-shirts for the event! However, you should wear clothes that are comfortable, avoid wide-leg or loose trousers that could get tangled up under your feet. In general, keep in mind that you don't want any clothing that gets in the way of doing activity. Wear comfortable footwear, suitable for sports activities.

The games will be taking place at the University’s partnership facility, Polo Farm Sports Club, Littlebourne Rd, Canterbury CT3 4AF. Parking will be available.

Please allow time for travel, team registration and introductions.

A number of activities will be taking place outdoors, please ensure you wear adequate sun protection for the conditions. We will respect your personal decisions and allow you to make your own decisions about what exercise you can carry out. However, we ask you not to exercise beyond what you consider to be your own abilities - If you know or are concerned that you have a medical condition which might interfere with you exercising safely, before you take part in the event, you should get advice from a relevant medical professional and follow that advice. We will make every reasonable effort to make sure that our equipment and facilities are in a safe condition for you to use and enjoy.

If you have any questions about the event, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Email us at: sport@canterbury.ac.uk with any inquiries you may have.
