This project explores the ideas that come to mind when we think about Victorian woman writers. The writers featured in this database so far have all been discussed at ICVWW conferences - some are well known, some less so.
The information we have collated about them was used to construct an idea of what the average Victorian woman writer might have been like in comparison to what the general public conceive her to be.
