Our annual Alumni Awards programme recognises and celebrates our graduates who are making a difference, inspiring change, and making a positive impact in the community.
The Awards allow us to showcase the amazing talents and achievements of our alumni community, shining a light on their successes and are aligned to our Vision 2030 values of being: Collaborative, Sustainable, Creative, Ethical, Innovative, Courageous, Compassionate and Inclusive.

Are you a CCCU alumnus who has done something amazing to make a difference in your community or at CCCU to help support our students? Have you as an individual or group of alumni, taken action to champion sustainable practices or equality and inclusion within your community or the workplace? Or perhaps you know someone from our alumni community who is inspiring others or excelling in their chosen career field? If so, we would love to hear from you. You might become the recipient of one of our prestigious Canterbury Christ Church Alumni Awards 2025.

Alumni Community Hero Award
This award recognises and celebrates our alumni who have gone above and beyond to make a positive impact in the local community and who have contributed their time and talents for the enrichment of others, and the betterment of society.
Alumni Rising Star Award
This award recognises and celebrates innovative and successful young alumni who have showcased determination, drive and excellence in the workplace or community, who are paving the way for others and demonstrating strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Alumni Outstanding Contribution Award
This award recognises the incredible voluntary contribution that alumni make to the life and community of CCCU, through enriching the experience, knowledge and employability of our students, or facilitating opportunities for business development and growth.
Alumni Sustainability Champion Award
This award recognises an alumnus, or group of alumni who are committed to ‘Shaping Sustainable Futures’, working to continually reduce their environmental impact, operating ethically and empowering others to be advocates for sustainability, or making a tangible impact through sustainable practices.
New for 2025: Alumni Equity and Inclusion Impact Award:
This award highlights individual alumni or a group of alumni who have taken action to champion equality, diversity and inclusion (in areas including age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race and religion), demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing inclusive practices and embedding equality as a lived value in an organisational or community environment.
Nomination criteria and application procedure
If you are nominating someone other than yourself, make sure that you have sought their permission for their data to be shared with CCCU to be used for the purposes of Alumni Award 2025. For more information about how we process personal Alumni data, see our Privacy Notice.
Nominations can be for individual alumni or a group of alumni (as noted above) who have worked together on a project/activity. You can also self-nominate with an independent referee/seconder. Take a look at the Alumni Awards eligibility, nomination and judging criteria Alumni Awards criteria 2025.
