A new scholarship for 2024, the Tina Eniye Murphy Scholarship has been established to support a student studying for an undergraduate degree in Public Health at Canterbury Christ Church University.
The award has been set up in memory of Tina Eniye Murphy who achieved her lifelong ambition of graduating with a BSC (Hons) in Public Health and Health Promotion in 2022, shortly before passing away in 2023. Her daughter Mrs James and her husband, Mr James are hoping that this important scholarship will offer a student at CCCU, the opportunity to pursue a career in Public Health.
Tina Eniye Murphy was a philanthropist, humanitarian, leader and well-known community champion. She was the founder of Health Action Charity organisation in Medway and Noroware Osula Foundation in Nigeria. She has been a great help to many individuals and families. She has worked in partnership with many organisations and individuals focusing on the wellbeing of others and her community within Medway and Kent.
The Tina Eniye Murphy Scholarship will offer £5,000 a year to a student for each year of their study. Alongside the financial award, the scholar will be offered the opportunity to be supported by a Futures Coach to develop their confidence during their time at CCCU.

Students should apply by completing an application form, including a personal statement of no more than 500 words.
