Completing a Year in Industry, as part of your degree, gives you the opportunity to put your learning into practice and enhance your career prospects in a placement role that's relevant to your studies.

This year can be completed within the local area, anywhere in the UK or, if you can find one, you can even complete your placement abroad.

You’ll be able to demonstrate to employers how your knowledge can add real value to a company, whilst you get more of an idea of what you'd like to do as a future career. This will also help you stand out from the crowd when looking for graduate jobs. In fact, many of our placement students have been offered full time positions whilst on placement for when they finish their studies.

You’ll complete your year in industry between your second and third year, and, although you’ll be responsible for identifying and securing a suitable position, you’ll receive support and guidance with every step of the process.
