The strategic aims of the University's Vision 2030 strategy centre on one overarching theme: shaping sustainable futures.

In 2022, we launched our Academy for Sustainable Futures after more than a decade of working both within our own university community and across the local community and wider Higher Education sector on sustainability education and engagement.

In the same year, we published our response to the climate emergency, and in 2023 expanded our climate education offer into a Climate Ready programme of opportunities for staff and students.
