Accommodation parking

As we are a city-based university parking spaces are limited, but all our accommodation is easily accessible by walking, cycling and public transport.

Canterbury

Parking spaces in university accommodation are limited, and priority is given to those students who have medical needs or who require their car for professional course placements, such as nursing or primary education.

Students living at the residence where the car park is based and have accepted their room offer may only book parking permits. Car parking is limited and is only available at:

  • Pin Hill
  • Lanfranc

Permits are allocated on a first come first served basis and needs to be booked and paid for in advance.

Parking permits may only be booked by students living at a CCCU residence and have accepted their room offer. In addition, parking permit requests can only be requested on or after the August 24 2023.

There are two options when it comes to booking your parking space:

  • Parking for 20 weeks is £300
  • Parking for 39 weeks is £585

Once issued, parking permits for the 20-week option are non-refundable. A part refund will only be given for those who book the 39-week option; a refund will only be given for any full 20-week period remaining. Terms and Conditions apply.

Successful applicants will be required to pay a refundable £30 deposit to acquire a parking key card or fob.

If you would like to book parking for your entire stay we recommend you select a permit length of 39 weeks in order to guarantee yourself a space.

If you wish to book the 20-week option and want to extend, we cannot guarantee that spaces will be available for the remainder of the year.

Please read the following terms and conditions.

Medway

If you must bring a car with you and there are no spaces at your accommodation, you can contact your relevant Local Council to discuss alternative parking.

Bicycles

You are very welcome to bring your bike to University. There is ample storage for bikes across all sites but they must not be stored anywhere inside your accommodation as they may form an obstruction in the event of an emergency situation. Please note the insurance we provide does not cover the loss or theft of bikes.

Please note there is no parking for electric scooters and you are not allowed to charge these within the accommodation buildings.
