Health and Safety

The Health and Safety function is dedicated to assisting the University to continuously improve its health and safety management systems and support its positive and proactive health and safety culture.

Our services

The Health and Safety function is responsible for the delivery of a range of services including:-

• provision of advice, and information on fire health and safety issues to University senior management, managers, supervisors and other University staff and student representatives
• health and safety management auditing
• provision of health and safety training for managers and staff
• accident investigations
• maintenance of records to meet statutory requirements and to support the monitoring of health and safety performance
• liaison with relevant enforcing authorities.
