Build on students' existing knowledge of HE, explore university as an option for the future and how they can get there.

Students will build on their existing knowledge of higher education, explore university as an option for the future and how to get there. They will get to explore the facilities available at CCCU Canterbury campus. Practical elements of going to university will explored through workshop activities.

Students will have the opportunity to experience our industry level/ purpose built facilities for a range of subjects (such as professional TV studio, performance spaces, criminal justice and healthcare suites and/or STEM facilities) as part of an organised campus tour.

Activity outline

  • Talk (Is university for me?/How do I choose the right course? How do I apply for university? How do I write a good personal statement? Can I afford university? How can I budget when I’m there? What’s it like being a CCCU student?)
  • Workshop (Personal Statement writing/Budgeting board game)
  • Campus tour
  • Q&A with ambassadors
