The Food Court is our largest catering outlet on campus and with a big seating area is a great place to have a small catch up with friends and have lunch with all of your classmates. The Food Court consists of different food bars to choose from:

Our menu offers hot and cold pastries, including vegan and gluten-free options, plus an array of delightful cakes and sweet treats.
Whether you are picking up a drink on the go or looking for a light bite the Coffee Dock has everything you need. Offering seasonal goodies it regularly features warming toasties and soups in the winter and fresh salads and jacket potatoes in the summer.
Whether you are after smash burgers and loaded fries from the main menu, or one of our daily specials inspired from dishes from across the world - there is something for everyone at The Streatery! An outdoor outlet located in the middle of Abbey Square, next to the Verena Holmes Building, this outlet is the perfect place meet up with friends over a tasty lunch.
Just a stone's throw from the town centre and a short walk from campus, the Lounge is the only exclusive student bar in the city centre. Dive into a week full of excitement with nightly events like Final Whistle, Society Takeover nights, karaoke, and the Live Lounge showcasing the best of student and local talent.
The Lounge is accredited by the Canterbury Best Bar None scheme and works with police and other agencies to encourage safety in the night-time economy. A Best Bar None venue will have trained staff to assist you if you ever feel uncomfortable in a situation within their premises. Just approach any member of staff and “Ask for Angela”. This is a code word to alert staff that you need support, and they will take care of you.
Located in the heart of the library, Augustine House Atrium Café serves an array of hot and cold, breakfast and lunchtime treats. Enjoy our pre-packed sandwiches, salads, and paninis, or tuck in to our daily hot dishes or fresh salad bar. Don't miss the Atrium Coffee Pod, your haven for Grumpy Mule barista coffee, accompanied by a tempting selection of fresh hot and cold pastries and cakes.

Please note that the times stated above are during term time and will vary during holidays. When we are closed we have a range of vending options available 24/7, alongside social spaces to heat your own food and drink.

CCCU is a cashless campus. UPay is a cashless and secure payment system which you can use to buy refreshments from our on-campus catering and food outlets (but not vending machines). You, and other people that you nominate, can upload funds to your UPay account from any smartphone, tablet or PC, to help you budget. It also provides access to exclusive deals, offers, free food and loyalty rewards such as:
To get going, download the UPay app via The App Store, Google Play or www.upay.co.uk and register for an account. To sign in for the first time, use the Single Sign On option (look for the Microsoft logo, and then enter your University computing username and password), after which you can make use of Touch ID if you prefer.
Before you can make your first purchase, you’ll need to add funds to your account. You can top up any amount between £20-100, on a pay-as-you-go basis, or by setting up auto top-ups for a fixed amount.
Once your account is set up, simply pay for your on-campus food and drink at the till by scanning the in-app QR code.
