Unitemps, CCCU's in-house job recruitment service, is launching a new initiative awarding students for industry-based projects around innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.

Student Projects for Innovation, Collaboration, and Sustainability

Students and groups of students can be nominated to receive a cash reward up to £1,500 per category for industry-based projects they've been working on as part of their course.  Sponsored by Unitemps, the University's in-house recruitment service, the Student PICS initiative celebrates students' hard work across three project categories: innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.

Nominations

Curriculum-based industry projects from September 2024 and current projects will be considered for the reward.

Nominations for the Student PICS can be made by students who are completing or have completed a project, including self nominations, CCCU colleagues, and businesses engaged in a project. Nominations are now open until 6 June at 5pm and can be made through this online form.

Project criteria

Nominees will be assessed on the key benefits achieved and the project's business impact. It will also consider the trajectory of the project and review how the nominee or nominees have made an exceptional contribution.

Project evaluations

Nominations will be judged by a mixed panel of academics, professional services staff, and industry professionals, and a winner will be selected for each category.

Winners will be announced in September 2025 at a celebratory event on campus.
