Institute leads Masterclass Series
The Institute of Medical Sciences in collaboration with Dr Mayur Vibhuti and Medway CCG delivered an innovative 8 day multi-professional masterclass series over an 8 month period with a cohort of Practice Managers, Nurses and General Practitioners.
The Institute of Medical Sciences in collaboration with Dr Mayur Vibhuti and Medway CCG delivered an innovative 8 day multi-professional masterclass series over an 8 month period with a cohort of Practice Managers, Nurses and General Practitioners.
Medway CCG recognised the need to empower, energise and inspire frontline clinicians and managers across traditional practice boundaries.
The delegates collaborated to produce projects that they pitched to Medway CCG for future funding aligned with the five year forward view.
Positive workforce outcomes included 3 salaried GPs taking up leadership positions, including Partnership. One manager promotion and one project obtaining 20k of CCG funding.
Feedback showed that time out of everyday work alongside peer consulting for collaborative problem solving and practical leadership tools was a winning formula to creating a local network for change.
Medway CCG and the Kent STP are considering funding a second cohort of Kent wide practitioners for a second cohort to commence in Spring 2019.
