If you are required to take reassessment to complete your studies, you should expect that your graduation ceremony will be at a later date than if you had completed without reassessment.
Students taking reassessment in July will be invited to graduate the following January. This change was agreed and ratified by the Academic Board and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor because reassessment runs too closely to our September Graduation event, making it impractical operationally.
Information on this topic have been published and are publicly available to view on the graduation web pages and reassessment web pages. If you have any questions, please contact your faculty.
If you complete your course too late to be invited to the Graduation Ceremony, you will automatically be invited to the next event at which your course will be presented. The Graduation Office will be notified of your successful completion and will contact you via email (using the student’s personal and CCCU email address) approximately 8 weeks before the event.
For students whose courses are being presented in September, in exceptional circumstances confirmed by the Assessment Team, if you complete your reassessment and your record shows that you have successfully finished your course by August, the Graduation team will make every effort to invite you to the September ceremony.
