One of the world’s leading computer scientists, Dame Wendy Hall, will be giving the final lecture of the series. Named by Computer Weekly as the most influential woman in IT in the UK (2014), Dame Wendy Hall’s work has been significant in many areas including digital libraries, the development of the semantic web and the emerging research discipline of Web Science.

She was President of the Association for Computer Machinery (ACM), Senior Vice President of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and has been a member of the UK Prime Minister’s council for Science and Technology, the Global Commission on Internet Governance and the World Economic Forum’s Global Futures Council.

Dame Wendy was also co-Chair of the UK government’s AI Review, and is the UK’s first Skills Champion for AI.
