A sophisticated Ceremony

St Martin's Priory

St Martin’s Priory is a historical Grade II listed building with Jacobean and Georgian architecture, providing an elegant and sophisticated location to hold the wedding of your dreams.

The Priory house dates back to 1550 and despite various extensions 80% of the current house is over 350 years old. The Priory grounds are the what make the venue such a desirable location to many, as it offers the look and feel of a country retreat in the heart of historic Canterbury.

Set in 2.5 acres of enchanting gardens and snugly wrapped in high walls and herbaceous borders, this venue offers couples privacy and exclusivity close to the heart of the city. Guests are able to wonder the grounds through the Rose Garden to the top lawn where they will find breath taking views of Canterbury Cathedral and the city of Canterbury.

For couples looking for a venue that offers flexibility, freedom and fabulous grounds, St Martin's Priory ticks all the boxes.

St Martin's Church

St Martin’s Church was originally built in Roman times and dates back to 6th century. It boasts a beautiful exterior, perfect for anyone desiring a church wedding and is conveniently located in front of St Martin’s Priory

We have a long standing relationship with the church and they are happy to discuss our couples marrying with them and many of our couples are able to do so.

After the wedding ceremony in the church, the newlyweds and guests can walk down the steps and through the picturesque walkway leading to St Martin’s Priory.

The church has a capacity of roughly 100 guests and couples need to contact the church rector to discuss matters further:
