At CCCU, we believe in transparency and connectivity. Here, you'll find everything you need to know about our mission, values, and the passionate team behind our services.
Through professionalism and team work we aim to deliver the best value and quality of service to all of our customers.
Each unique venue within our offering varies in the facilities that are on offer. All benefit from the following key features:
Within the room hire cost, room set-up and furniture, AV (specific to each room), Wi Fi, and flipchart with pens are included.
Optional extras (price for each available on request) include AV support, water in meeting rooms, delegate stationery, and photocopying (credit must be requested in advance).
Most of our venues include hi-tech audio visual equipment including: projector, computer, DVD, and audio.
Your event manager will provide you with the AV breakdown for each room. If you have specific AV requirements, this can be discussed with an AV technician.
Step free access to all the rooms at Augustine House with lift access to all floors, accessible toilet facilities, and automatic door openers.
Step free access to all the rooms at St Martin’s Priory with lift access to first floor and accessible toilet facilities. No automatic door openers. Please note that the front doors at the Priory are in the traditional style and, for this reason, are quite narrow.
The majority of buildings on main campus have step free access with lifts to higher floors.
The maximum capacity at Augustine House is 330 guests lecture style and 200 cabaret style.
The maximum capacity at St Martin's Priory is 26 guests in our large board room.
The maximum capacity at North Holmes Road is 250 lecture theatre style and 80 cabaret style.
A small number of parking spaces may be available at St Martin’s Priory or North Holmes Road.
To park at our venues you will need to request parking permits from the event manager. Parking is on a first come first serve basis and a permit does not allocate you a space but gives you the right to use the car parks under University policy. For bookings during the evening or weekend, we may be able to offer car parking to many delegates.
There is no parking available at Augustine House.
There are cafés available at Augustine House and North Holmes Road.
Unfortunately, there are no catering facilities available at St Martin’s Priory. The closest catering outlet is on the North Holmes Road campus. However, you can pre-order the refreshments and catering, and it will be served in the room for you.
Please note, you can pre-order your hospitality prior to arrival or offer lunch and refreshment vouchers for your delegates.
We are happy to meet with you/your group on arrival. We will discuss and mutually agree the details prior to your event.
This is a good opportunity for you to familiarise yourself with the environment and resources to hand during your conference/meeting.
Student accommodation is built for long-term living, to feel like a home for our students and to encourage a sense of community.
As such, rooms are not along a shared corridor as with a hotel, but arranged into flats of 2-8 rooms behind a front door, with either a kitchenette or full kitchen/lounge shared between guests in each flat.
There may be other guests in the flat with you using the communal kitchen (and bathroom in non-ensuite accommodation), but every bedroom still has its own lock that other guests cannot open.
The dates can vary year on year but as a rough guide it is usually the first weekend of July to the first weekend of September.
Dates before or after this time may be requested but cannot be guaranteed. Our students often leave their accommodation the last week of June and come back in mid-September for the academic year.
Check-in is from 5pm onwards and check-out is by 9am at the latest. All sites have 24/7 security to assist with late check-in and early check-out.
Only guide dogs or assistance dogs are allowed in our accommodation.
Breakfast is not included in the nightly price but is available at our Augustine House and North Holmes Road campuses for an additional charge.
As our rooms are purpose-built for students, they are designed to accommodate only one person.
Double beds are either 4ft or 4ft 6 doubles, which are slightly smaller than the “standard” double bed, so may be a tighter fit for two guests.
We are happy to make a double occupancy booking. Please note there will be an additional surcharge to cover extra laundry and cleaning costs associated with this.
We do not have any twin rooms in our portfolio, where twin room refers to two separate beds within one room.
All our accommodation sites and rooms are no smoking. There is a designated smoking area at Petros Court, Lanfranc, and St George’s.
Guests found smoking outside of designated areas may be subject to fines.
Invoices will be raised on completion of the event or in accordance with specific billing arrangements agreed between the University and the customer. Payment is due 30 days from the date of the invoice.
Room hire tariffs are VAT exempt; hospitality prices are subject to VAT, currently at 20%. Your events coordinator will make it clear whether quoted prices are inclusive of VAT.
The cancellation policy for any event or accommodation booking is stated within your Conference and Events terms of business that is sent out electronically to you along with your booking confirmation form.
