This is where Canterbury Christ Church University’s refreshed brand comes in, and we are so excited to share it with you! 

We realise there’s a lot to take in – including some cool new visuals and an all-new logo. But there's a lot of behind-the-scenes work which has gone into it.

Our newly refreshed brand has been created to reflect our new strategic vision - called Vision 2030 - which will underpin everything we do between now and the end of the decade. Vision 2030 doesn't just support you, our current students, in driving innovation, sustainability, and a collective mission to continuously improve; it also looks forward to enable us to provide an amazing experience for future students.

What's more, we created Vision 2030 with the direct input of our student community - as well as staff, partners, and the businesses we work with. 

When it comes to our refreshed look and feel, we can boil it down to a few fundamental values which underpin everything we do. This is not only as an institution focussed on delivering world-class education, but as an active part of the local, regional, and national community.

Importantly, we want you to join us on this new and exciting journey.

Head and heart

At the centre of our refreshed brand and the values that underpin it is ‘Head and heart’. Whatever we do, we want it to be guided by pragmatic, academic decisions - but not at the expense of emotion and experience.  

We want every student to feel like their academic needs are being met alongside their unique emotional requirements, taking them from potential to purpose. We want the CCCU experience to go beyond education; we want it to be transformative. Things like our TEF Award for teaching back up our efforts.

This approach also enables us to continue doing what we have been leaders at over the last 60 years: responding to societal needs and change. Since our foundation as a teacher training college, we have been adding new education streams which have fulfilled a wider need. Nursing, health and social care subjects, humanities and now engineering… All of these have helped us achieve our aims of creating bright futures, societal impact, innovation and enhancing both culture and community. 

So, how does this affect you?

Our newly refreshed branding and the thought behind it is the start of the next phase of CCCU’s journey. We want you to come along with us!

Around our campuses, you will see changes to the look and feel of the signs, digital screens and other visuals that you walk past every day. It’s not just a visual overhaul. As we roll out Vision 2030, you will gradually see new themes emerging in teaching and how we operate as an institution.

Themes like sustainability, ethics, innovation, inclusivity, and collaboration are all central to this.
