Jeremy Stockwell was the Manging Director of Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk for Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets plc until December 2021. Prior to joining Lloyds in 2011, he worked in banking (BNP Paribas, 2006-2011), consultancy (KPMG and Ernst & Young, 1998-2006), at an exchange (LIFFE, 1990-1998) and as a regulator (Bank of England, 1986-1990).
In response to industry challenges, Jeremy has worked extensively on improving corporate culture, developing industry standards on market conduct, and on the developing risk functions through the focus on new competencies and the increased use of data and technology.
Jeremy was brought up in Kent, read English at University, and wrote his MA dissertation on Sherlock Holmes and the Development of Detective Fiction. He is married with two grown-up sons, and with some combination of them enjoys travel, theatre, ballet, cricket (spectating) and swimming (participating).
