The course comprises six core modules over two semesters.
Skills for Lifelong Learning
The aim of this module is to equip you with personal, academic and employability skills for lifelong learning in the health and social care sector.
Person Centred Practice
The aim of the module is to introduce you to the key concepts of person centred practice.
The aim of this module is to provide the theory of effective collaborative working within health and social care and foster knowledge and skills for effective collaboration.
Introducing Public Health and Social Care
The aim of the module is to introduce you to a selection of current local, national and international health and social issues, their underlying causes, the influence of the life course and how these inform public health and social care agendas.
Human Development through the Life Stages
This module aims to introduce the concept of Life Span Development, focusing on normal development of physical, cognitive, and psychosocial skills from birth to death.
Introducing Human Anatomy and Physiology
The aim of the module is to introduce you to healthy human anatomy and physiology. Please note that both Broadstairs and Medway students will need to travel to Canterbury for this module for specialist teaching resources.
