Careers advice for disabled students
The University’s Career Development team and Student, Support, Health and Wellbeing team work together to ensure there is support, advice and opportunities for disabled students in relation to employability, careers and jobs.
Diversity and Employment on The CORE – The CORE information system has a dedicated section on Diversity and Employment, with useful information relating to employment on a range of protected characteristics including Age, Gender and Disability, to name a few.
The Disability section has advice on:
- Disclosing your disability and at what stage to do so
- The ‘Disability Confident’ Campaign
- Access to Work
- And much more.
All students can access 1-1 careers information, advice and guidance. These are bookable via the Events and Appointments tab on The CORE homepage. You can also contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If you require special requirements to access these appointments, please advise at time of booking.
As with all students, the Unitemps Recruitment service
and the Volunteering Service
offer work experience opportunities. Please get in touch with them to boost your CV and your future.
