2017 PARLIAMENTARY HUSTINGS for the Canterbury and Whitstable Constituency hosted by Canterbury Christ Church University.

Canterbury Christ Church University is proud to announce that it will be hosting an election hustings event for Canterbury and Whitstable constituency on Friday 26th May, 18:00 reception followed by a Q&A session from 18:30-20:00 at Old Sessions House. The event is being cohosted by the Ethnic Minority Independent Council, CANDIFA (Canterbury and District Inter-Faith Action), CEFEUS (Centre for European Studies), The Canterbury Society, CDCD (Coalition for Democracy in Canterbury District) and Making Politics Matter, and will be chaired by Dr Amelia Hadfield, from the Politics and International Relations programme at CCCU.  

All four candidates standing will attend the event: Rosie Duffield (Labour), James Flanagan (Liberal Democrat), Julian Brazier (Conservatives) and Henry Stanton (Green).

This event is free and open to the students, staff and the general public. Questions to the candidates can be submitted both prior to the event, via twitter #CCCUHustings17 and email hustings2017@canterbury.ac.uk, or during the reception, whilst some will also be taken from the audience during the event itself.
