This two-day summit showcases and celebrates cutting edge environmental design and enhancement, rural and urban sustainable dwelling, design and architecture for wellbeing and innovation projects co-created with communities that are impacting positively on sustainable community health and wellbeing across the lifespan in the UK and Europe. Taking a problem-based approach, to tackle thorny economic, geopolitical and social issues of a lack of affordable housing, homelessness, fragmented social care, and intergenerational health care gaps.

Core themes

  • Building capacity for sustainable community wellbeing providing examples of urban and rural innovation
  • Building Design and Architecture - showcasing sustainable dwelling projects and cooperative housing model
  • Ecological design, making places greener
  • Enabling development of creative innovation catalysts for the future working with commercial sector and industry. This event is a unique collaboraiton between The Carbon Free Group, The Bay Trust, The Sustainability Research Network at Canterbury Christ Church University and The England Centre for Practice Development.
