The countdown has begun! From 8am on 8 May to 8pm on 9 May, Canterbury Christ Church University will host its first-ever Futures Day, a 36-hour on-campus and online fundraising extravaganza, all in support of our students.

Right now, students at Canterbury Christ Church are experiencing severe and unprecedented hardship in the cost-of-living crisis. Futures Day is all about bringing our whole community together to support our students through hardship and scholarships.

Over two days we're inviting everyone to come together, to take part and help us achieve exciting milestone challenges online, or to join us on campus for fun, exciting, challenging, and quite frankly very messy events!
Futures Day will be raising money for student in hardship through the Futures Fund and Futures Scholarships.

Our Futures Day website is now live and we’re encouraging all CCCU community to visit to discover more about what’s happening over the two days.

Events on campus

With two-days packed full of fun activities and events we’re sure there’ll be something for you. To discover the full programme and how you can get involved, please visit Futures Day and book onto everything you’d like to take part in.

Gunge Tank Challenge – 9th May

We’re thrilled to announce that for the first time in CCCU history, 18 colleagues, students, and alumni have bravely put themselves forward to be gunged on campus in front of a live audience, all with the aim of raising money for students in hardship in our epic Gunge Tank Challenge! Check out who our brave volunteers are here, and donate to make sure they get chosen. Only the top 10 who raise the most will face the dreaded green gunge at 3pm on 9 May.

The ten (unfortunate!) winners will be announced in a live Gunge Tank Challenge ceremony at 3pm on Thursday 9 May by the pond area on main campus. This is one event not to be missed - come along, cheer, applaud and make as much noise as you can as they’re ceremoniously walked into the gunge tank, the lever pulled, and drenched from head to toe in revolting green slime!

All donations to the Gunge Tank Challenge will support our Futures Fund, helping students struggling with financial hardship during the cost-of-living crisis.

Let’s show what we can achieve when our whole community come together to support our students!
