Community

We are the number 1 choice for local people looking to study in Kent. The majority of our students come from the local area and many of them stay on after their studies providing a skilled workforce for the region. With an annual budget of £120 million, and almost 3,000 staff, the University is a major employer in the region and contributes significantly to the local economy (£539 million in 2012/13).

Being a city centre university, we are at the heart of our local community, and work together in the belief in the power of higher education to enrich individuals, communities and nations.
