Monday 16 April 2018 | 7pm-9pm |8 sessions Tutor: Caroline Millar | Canterbury campus | £84 Each session of this course will be structured around a different type of ‘journey’, whether inner or outer, real or imagined. We’ll be inspired by a range of texts from travel writing to memoir, nature writing to the novel, poetry to psychogeography, and use these as a jumping off point to spark our own imaginative journeys. We’ll also explore how music, image and memory work to trigger creative expression. There will be lots of in-class exercises, writing prompts and opportunities to share our own work. This course is suitable for all abilities; whether you’re brand new to writing, stuck in a rut, in need of inspiration or just a place to express yourself.
