A. Pärt, Mozart-Adagio J. Haydn, Gypsy Rondo L. van Beethoven, Piano Trio in D, Op.70 No.1 (‘Ghost’) Ghosts tread the boards in this concert by the Primavera Ensemble, in a reincarnation of Mozart as seen through the eyes of Arvo Pärt and Beethoven’s celebrated trio inspired by Macbeth. The programme is capped in earthier spirit by Haydn’s lively evocation of the itinerant Hungarian musicians he encountered at Esterházy.
